Combined Entrance Test (CET-2016) for Admission to the Various UG / PG / Research degree programmes on
22nd / 29th  May, 2016 ( 11.00 a.m. – 01.00 p.m. )

The Association of Self Financing Universities of Rajasthan is holding the Combined Entrance Test for admission to various UG / PG programmes on 22nd / 29th  May 2016 (Sunday) from 11.00 a.m. to 01.00 P.M .

  • The Test will be held in the major cities of India. The list of the Test Centers will be put up on the website of the participating Universities by 05th May, 2016.
  • The Last Date for submission of Application Forms by hand at reception counters of the member Universities is : 18th May, 2016.
  • Those students who are interested in admission should submit their Application Forms by hand or send by post ensuring that their Application Forms reach the Participating Universities by the given date.

The Entrance Test will be for Admission to the following Programmes :

1. B.Tech (CS/EC/EE/Biotech/Chemical Engg./Food Tech./ Civil/Mechanical/ Electronics & Computer Engg.) and B.Tech + MBA ( 5-year Dual Degree programme)
2. B.Pharm and B.Pharm + MBA (5-year Dual Degree programme)
3. BHMCT and BHMCT + MBA (5-year Dual Degree programme)
4. BA/ BBA-LLB ( 5-year integrated)

Pattern of Questions of the Test papers

  • For admission to each of the above listed 1 to 12 programmes there will be 100 objective type questions .
  • Each question will have FOUR options : A , B , C & D .
  • The candidate will be required to select one of them for answer and put a X (Cross Mark) with Blue pen (preferably) in the appropriate BOX given in the given Response Sheet / OMR Sheet provided for the purpose.
  • There is NO negative marking/

1. Questions for B.Tech (all branches) will be from the following four areas of 10+2 level Examination ( 25 questions from each area) (a) General Awareness / General Knowledge questions including General English (b) Questions on Physics (c) Questions on Chemistry (d) Questions on Mathematics

2. Questions for B.Pharm. will be on the same pattern as those of B.Tech . However, they will have a choice between questions on Mathematics and questions on Biology . They can choose to attempt questions either on Biology or on Mathematics .

3. Questions for MBA/PGDM & MCA will be of graduation level / standard on General Awareness / General knowledge General Science ,General English , Basic Computer Knowledge , Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics .

4. Questions for BHMCT / BA/BBA-LLB / B.Sc. Nursing/ B.Des. Fashion Design will be of 10+2 level /standard on General Awareness / General knowledge, General Science / Biology , General English ,Basic Computer Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics .

5. Questions for B.Ed. will be of graduation level/ standard on General Awareness / General knowledge, General Science , General English , Basic Computer Knowledge and questions related to Aptitude for teaching and strategies to deal with Primary and Secondary level students. ( questions will be both in English and Hindi)

6. Questions for M.Ed. will be of graduation / B.Ed. level on General Awareness / General knowledge, General Science, General English , Basic Computer Knowledge and questions related to Aptitude for teaching and strategies to deal with Primary and Secondary level students. ( questions will be both in English and Hindi)

7. Questions for M.Tech. ( CS/EC/EE) will be of graduation and of B.Tech level/standard on General Awareness / General knowledge, General Science , General English , Basic Computer Knowledge , Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics and a few specializationspecific questions .

Candidates are advised to consult some good books on competitive state/national level test papers for preparation of the CET-2016 to be held on 22nd / 29th  May 2016 .

Questions for the Entrance Test for Admission to M.Phil. / Ph.D. programmes

  • There will be one common Question paper for admission to M.Phil./ Ph.D. programmes for all disciplines.
  • The question paper will be in two parts – Section-A and Section-B.
  • Section–A will have 50 objective type questions on General Knowledge , General Awareness , General English , General Science etc.., each question of 1 mark For answering questions of Section-A , the candidate will be provided a separate Response Sheet / OMR sheet .along with the Question Booklet . Each question will have four options and the candidate will be required to put Cross Mark X in the appropriate Box in the given Response Sheet / OMR Sheets with blue pen ( not with pencil) .
  • Section-B. will also be of 50 Marks .This section is intended to judge candidate’s research aptitude .The candidate will be required to write a detailed write-up on his/her proposed Research project related to his/her discipline . The answer to the question in Section-B should include the following points:
    (i) Tentative title of the proposed research proposal
    (ii) Justification for taking up the proposed research work
    (iii) Detailed write-up on the research work to be undertaken
    (iv) Research methodology/techniques to be adopted for pursuing the proposed research work

    The candidate will be provided a separate Answer-Booklet to attempt Section – B

  • The list of the candidates found eligible to appear in the Entrance Test will be displayed on the websites of the participating Universities on 16th May 2016 and the final list with Roll Nos , Hall Tickets / Admit Cards and Test Centre addresses etc. will be put up on the Website on 18 May 2016.
  • Candidates selected on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Test for admission to their chosen programme will be called for GD / PI (Admission-Cum- Counseling) by the University. The dates and the Venue of GD/PI will be notified on the Websites of the participating Universities soon.
